Since I grew up in Zeeland (the province where this pastry is made and named after), I've eaten a reasonable amount of them. I don't think I've hit the 1000 mark yet but I can't be far off!
I did grew up with them so I'm a little biased, but this sugary, moisty, crispy, doughy, fluffy pastry is easily my favorite!

So when I wandered into a comic book store in 2017. I asked for Venom, and instantly recognized the covers of the first three books! And that's where it all started. I completed that run and started collecting the storylines that interested me the most (mostly Venom). But the Watchmen storyline was on the top of my list. Getting Watchmen flown over from Australia was ehhh.. costly. And this opened the floodgates to more and bigger purchases. X-Men #266 was the first more expensive book I couldn't resist buying. Like Venom, I instantly recognized the cover. And what can I say, I'm a nostalgic guy! My first books are still some of my favorite books of my collection which has now grown to over a 1000 books…
